Rules

At Minebox, our priority is your enjoyment in a relaxed yet secure setting. We urge you to adhere to our established guidelines, ensuring a pleasant experience for all. Consider your Minecraft account as your virtual self. Your actions online reflect on you, and we hold each player accountable to the standards set forth. In the event of a rule breach, if a Minebox team member reaches out, we expect you to honor their judgment and comply with their instructions. Minebox is designed as a light-hearted, social platform for building connections and having a great time. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with our rules to help maintain a welcoming environment for every player!

In-Game Rules

General

• Upon joining, players are deemed to have read and agreed to the rules.
• Minebox reserves the right to modify the rules at any time.

Allowed Modifications

General Optimizations

• Mods solely for visual fluidity improvements (FPS/IPS, gamma/brightness) are allowed (e.g., Optifine, Sodium).

Graphical Modifications

• Texture packs and HUD mods that solely aim to enhance aesthetics without providing gameplay advantage are permitted (e.g., Faithful resource pack, Inventory HUD mod).

Exceptions List

• Only chat and command macros are allowed (movement or action automation macros are prohibited).

Prohibited Modifications

General Prohibitions

• No official list of banned mods/texture packs exists. Players should consider whether the mod/texture pack provides an unfair advantage.
• Staff may sanction any mod/texture pack that offers automation (auto-clicks, rapid macros, automation scripts, auto block refills, inventory/chest sorting), aim assist, x-ray, fly, freecam, or alters server-side game mechanics.

Exploits / Bugs

• Exploiting bugs (vanilla or plugin-related) is forbidden and may result in a ban, with severity depending on the exploit's impact and duration of use.
• Report any bugs that affect gameplay or item/Lux acquisition.

Behaviour

Nicknames, Skins, Offensive Content

• Any antisemitic, homophobic, racist, sexist, discriminatory, or obscene content is banned.
• In-game nicknames, builds, and skins must adhere to these standards.

Chat Commands Usage

• Use /ad for trade offers and group requests to maintain chat clarity.
• Misuse of this command can lead to sanctions.

Voice Chat Usage

• Proximity voice chat is allowed and supported on the server via the Simple Voice Chat mod.
• Players must use it responsibly and respectfully, keeping communication appropriate for all users nearby.
• Spamming, loud noises, microphone abuse, or intentionally disrupting other players' experience through voice chat is not allowed.
• Harassment, hate speech, or any offensive content via proximity voice chat will be treated the same as text chat violations and may result in sanctions.

Spam, Flooding, Caps

• Maintain chat clarity; avoid spamming, flooding, or all-caps messages.

Provocation and Harassment

• Provocation and harassment are prohibited and may result in permanent bans, including DDOS attempts or personal information disclosure.

Respect and Fairness

• Respect and fair play are expected. Disturbing or wasting others' time is not allowed, especially by repeatedly switching instances when other players are present.

Advertising

• Unauthorized promotion of websites, game servers, Discord servers, Twitch, or YouTube channels other than Minebox is prohibited.

PvP Rules

• Fair Play: PvP must be conducted fairly at all times. Any form of cheating, hacking, or use of unfair advantages is strictly prohibited.
• Prohibited Tools: The use of mods, macros, scripts, or any external tools that provide combat advantages (such as auto-clickers, aim assistance, or hitbox modifications) is not allowed.
• Exploits: Abusing bugs or game mechanics to gain an advantage in PvP is forbidden.

Multi-Accounting and Scams

Double Accounting

• Use of two non-abusive alternate accounts is allowed; additional accounts are subject to a ban.
• Do not use alternate accounts to exploit resources or circumvent moderation. Examples include using alts to evade mutes or bans, to teleport and monopolize resources (across multiple instances or on the same one), or using automated farming software.

Scams, Grief, and Looting

• Scams are not allowed.
• Selling unusable or consumed items is forbidden, except for repairable items.
• Grief/theft is punishable, and unauthorized financial gains from another player's property are prohibited.

Island Members

• Island owners are responsible for invited players regarding grief.
• Members should ensure fair resource sharing upon departure, maintaining ownership of contributed items and equitably dividing jointly farmed resources.

Currency and Gems

• Minebox is not liable for player-to-player transactions but may intervene in clear cases of fraudulent activity.
• We tolerate but do not encourage the trading of in-game assets for real-world money. Transactions that happen outside the server are done at your own risk. Minebox will not provide any refunds in the event of scams.
• Messages promoting the buying or selling of gems or other in-game assets for real-world money are not allowed in public channels.
• Players may use the official in-game systems to place orders for exchanging Gems for Luxs (in-game currency) or vice versa. These transactions must be conducted using the approved mechanisms.

Discord Server Rules

• Acceptance of Rules: Rules are considered accepted upon joining the Discord server. For doubts or questions, consult the moderation team.
• Right to Modify Rules: The server administration reserves the right to modify these rules at any time.

Visual Respect and Chat Conduct

• Offensive Content: No antisemitic, homophobic, racist, sexist, discriminatory, or obscene content in usernames, profile pictures, messages, or videos. Violations will be penalized.
• Profile and Username Standards: Usernames and profile pictures must adhere to the content standards. Non-compliance is punishable.
• Spam, Flooding, and Capitalization: Avoid spamming, flooding, and writing in all caps in text channels.
• Provocation and Harassment: Harassment in private messages or public channels, including attempts at DDOS or DOX (sharing personal information), results in a permanent ban.
• Advertising: Unauthorized promotion of websites, game servers, Discord servers, Twitch or YouTube channels other than our server is prohibited and will be penalized.

Voice Channel Conduct

• General Conduct: Voice discussions must remain respectful. The use of soundboards and other disruptive vocal modifiers is prohibited.
